The Epic Retirement Flagship Course Content

Meet our Special Guests for the Epic Retirement UK Flagship Course

We welcome some of the most respected leaders in the retirement industry to join us for live Q&A sessions related to topics covered in the recent program.

Neil Jones -
Senior Technical Engagement Manager at Standard Life

Neil is our special guest in Week 2. He has more than 30 years of experience in financial services, having worked across adviser firms, product providers, and private office environments. Neil's career spans a wide range of roles within wealth management, tax and estate planning, and retirement planning.

He has a deep understanding of both UK and international markets, combined with hands-on experience across adviser and provider sectors, enabling him to recognise the challenges and opportunities facing each. This perspective allows Neil to support advisers, institutional and retail clients, and the family office community with insight, clarity, and practical solutions.

Dan Haylett - Director of TFP Financial Planning

Dan is our special guest for Week 4, answering a raft of questions about investing and financial advice.
As the founder of Humans vs Retirement and Director of TFP Financial Planning, Dan is on a mission to transform how we think about and plan for retirement. Using his experience, he helps people navigate the messy middle between work and what’s next.
And he’s not your typical financial adviser. His approach blends behavioural science, life design, and human-focused strategies to help people build a rich, fulfilling retirement, financially and emotionally.

Charlotte Gibson - Pensions Actuary & UK Lead of the Epic Retirement Institute

Charlotte is an Executive Coach and Actuary who focuses on retirement support and coaching - and she’s our special guest for Week 5. After 25 years’ in the UK pensions industry she now works with individuals within organisations to navigate the move towards retirement and the chapter beyond full-time work.
She brings an understanding of both the practical and financial landscape, as well as the emotional shifts that accompany this transition. Charlotte is particularly interested in the future of retirement and how people can thrive in longer, more varied later lives rather than simply stepping away from work. Her goal is to empower people over fifty to navigate life and career transitions with clarity, confidence, and joy.

Check out our exclusive course digital workbook

Every participant receives access to our exclusive How to Have an Epic Retirement Conversation Starter: a companion resource designed to help you reflect more deeply on the course lessons and start meaningful conversations about the future.

Filled with thought-starters, reflection prompts, and practical discussion exercises, this guide is designed to be used around the dining table with your partner, family member, close friend - or simply as a personal journaling tool as you shape your own version of an Epic Retirement.

Why are we 'doing it together'?

This program is being run ‘synchronously’ which means we all do it together, working through the program of content week-by-week, over a six week period. I think this makes the course easier to digest, and much more entertaining - which, let’s face it, is important when we’re talking about money, planning and the life ahead.

The course itself is fully online and designed to fit flexibly around your schedule. At the beginning of the program, your dashboard will open with access to the welcome materials. Then, each Thursday, a new week of learning content will be released for you to work through in your own time and at your own pace. The only live components of the program are our weekly live Q&A sessions.

are saying about the course

Excellent course! Recommended to me by a friend for which I am very grateful. I have already embarked on my retirement journey so only regret is that I didn't know about this sooner. I am sure that it will help me to have an 'epic retirement'.

I loved this program and have recommended to so many people. Being from a finance background we often leave our own finances to last minute, so it was great to focus on my own backyard as such. Encouraging my husband to complete the workbook as well has given us the chance to communicate our retirement goals rather than just assuming we are on the same page. Thank you for providing the opportunity.
Jill M.
It has been Epic! The course has provided me with a great starting block to begin planning for my Epic Retirement. The modules were well presented with a gradual inclusion of information making it easy to gain and build upon knowledge. I have already recommended the course and your book to friends and strangers alike.
